Cream Cake Filling

1 cup milk
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg
1 Tbsp. flour
butter size of walnut

Mix sugar, flour and egg together well, then add milk and coo in double boiler until it begins to thicken. Take from fire and add butter and flavoring.
