Beet Relish

1 quart chopped cabbage
1 quart chopped cooked beets
1 cup grated horseradish
2 cups vinegar
2 cups sugar
salt

Combine cabbage, beets, horseradish - season with salt. Scald the vinegar, dissolve the sugar in the vinegar and then combine remaining ingredients and heat to boiling. Pack hot into jars and seal.
