Chunk Pickle

Soak the cut cucumber overnight in salt water. Cook the next morning until transparent but not soft - they should still be hard. Put into canning jars - pour over a mixture of 1 cup water, 1 cup vinegar, 1 cup sugar. Add 2 sticks cinnamon and 1 tsp. whole cloves.
