Gladys' Apple Salad

Dice some apples and celery as desired. Add some nuts to taste.

Dressing:
Beat 2 eggs well. Add 5 Tbsp. vinegar, 6 Tbsp. sugar, and 1 Tbsp. butter. Mix and cook over low fire, stirring constantly. Cool and thin with 1/4 cup cream.
