Sour Cream Cake

Mix and sift 2 1/2 cups flour, 2 tsp. baking powder, 1 tsp. cinnamon, 1 tsp. nutmeg, and a pinch of salt. Add 1 cup sugar, 1/2 cup nut meats broken into bits, 1 cup raisins, chopped or cut into halves. Then stir in 1 cup sour cream to which has been added 1/2 tsp. soda and 2 Tbsp. softened butter. If the cream is very rich the butter may be dispensed with. The last thing before baking add 2 eggs well beaten. Bake in a loaf tin. This is an excellent cake.
