Potato-Chocolate Cake

I've said before that grandma often had a list of ingredients and new what to do with them. This is one of those recipes. It just sounds wonderful!

2/3 cup oleo
2 cups sugar
4 eggs
1 cup hot mashed potatoes
2 squares unsweetened chocolate, melted
2 cups flour
3 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 cup milk
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. gound cloves
1/2 tsp. mace
1 cup chopped nuts
