Bacon Dressing for Lettuce

1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1/2 cup vinegar
2/3 cup water
3 or 4 strips of bacon

Cook bacon and cut into small pieces. Pour off about half the fat from the bacon pan. Beat eggs very well. Add sugar, vinegar and water. Add to cooked bacon in the skillet and cook until thick, stirring constantly.
