Rhubarb Bread

1 1/2 cups brown sugar
2/3 cup salad oil
1 egg
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup sour milk
2 1/2 cups flour
1 1/2 cups diced fresh rhubarb
1/2 cup chopped nuts
1 cup sugar
2 Tbsp. butter

Beat together sugar, oil and egg. Add vanilla and salt. Mix soda into sour milk and add to first mixture. Add flour and then rhubarb and lastly nuts. Pour into 2 greased loaf pans. Top with 1/2 cup sugar and 1 Tbsp. butter. Bake 1 hour at 325 degrees.
