Ice Cream Sauce

Beat 1 egg until thick and light colored. Beat in 1/4 cup granulated sugar and pinch salt until blended. Gradually beat in 1/3 cup melted butter and 1 tsp. vanilla extract or brandy. Fold in 1 cup heavy cream, whipped.
