Baked Ham Glaze

Remove rind from ham and score in diamond pattern. Spread the ham with the following spice mixture, rubbing it in with the back of a wooden spoon.

1 cup brown sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground ginger
1/4 tsp. ground cloves
1/2 tsp. black pepper
Sufficient juice from small can of apricots to form paste

Stud the ham with whole cloves. For the last 15 minutes of baking - place apricot halves on cutting board and cut all around almost to the center to form flowers. Arrange on ham, holding in place with a clove through the center. Return ham to oven to brown.
