Fruit Cocktail Cookies
1 cup shortening (I use oleo)
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
3 eggs, beaten
2 cups fruit cocktail, drained (30 oz. can)
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
4 cups flour
1 tsp. cinnamon (I use 1/2 tsp.)
1 tsp. cloves (I use 1/2 tsp.)
Cream shortening and sugar. Add beaten eggs and vanilla. Stir thoroughly. Add drained cocktail. Add flour sifted with remaining ingredients. Drop by spoonful. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes until lightly browned.
