Hot Dog Creole
With all the talk of New Orleans lately, I thought this recipe with a Northeast flair was appropriate.
1 lb. hot dogs
2 Tbsp. oil
4 cups chopped onion
1/2 cup chopped celery
4 cups chopped green pepper
1 medium clove garlic
1/4 cup water
1 Tbsp. worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. chili powder
1 tsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 can condensed tomato soup
Saute onion, celery, green pepper and garlic. Stir in soup, water, worcestershire sauce, chili powder, sugar and salt. Add hot dogs cut in small coin slices. Cover and heat well. Serve over hot rice.
