Apple Pie with Streusel Topping
6 medium apples
1/2 cup sugar
2 Tbsp. flour
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
dash of salt
unbaked pie shell
Wash, quarter and core apples; grate coarsely (skins and all). Mix above ingredients and pour into unbaked pie shell.
Combine until crumbly:
1/2 cup light brown sugar
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
dash of salt
2 Tbsp. butter
Scatter streusel toping evenly over pie. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes; reduce heat to 375 degrees and bake another 25 - 30 minutes until pie is bubbly and brown.
