Chocolate Cake

Today is another of the recipes that is a list of ingredients. Grandma of course knew just what to do with the list.

1 cup sugar
1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup sour milk
2 squares grated chocolate
1 egg
1/2 cup hot water
1 heaping cup flour
1 scant tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
