Orange Cake

1 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1 cup sour milk
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup raisins, chopped fine
1 orange, chopped fine
1/8 tsp. salt
2 cups flour

Cream shortening and sugar, add slightly beaten egg. Mix milk and soda, then add vanilla, raisins and orange. Sift flour and salt, add last and mix well. Bake 25 minutes in 325 degree oven.

Use a powdered sugar icing and flavor with a little pineapple juice.
