Peanut Butter Cookies

1/2 cup oleo
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
1 1/4 cups flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder

Cream butter, peanut butter, and sugar. Add egg and vanilla, beat until light. Add sifted dry ingredients - mix well. Shape in 3/4 inch balls - put on greased cookie sheet. Press flat with tines of fork. Bake in 375 degree oven for 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly brown.
