Cold Relish

1 large head cabbage
8 onions
8 carrots
8 green peppers
8 red peppers
1/2 cup salt
1 tsp. celery seed
1 tsp. mustard seed
3 pints vinegar
5 cups sugar

Clean and grind vegetables and sprinkle with 1/2 cup salt. Let stand 3 hours. Mix seeds, sugar and cold vinegar. Stir into drained vegetables. Put in sterilized cold jars and seal. Be sure vegetables are covered with liquid. Let stand one week before using.
